Confident Risk Management – What the DVSA Wants to See (and How to Show It)

A 1½ hour Zoom workshop for PDIs and ADIs who want to build confident, effective risk management skills that meet the DVSA standard.

Whether you’re preparing for your Part 3 or developing your skills as an ADI, risk management is one of the most important parts of your lesson — and often the one that causes the most uncertainty.

In this session, we’ll break down what confident, safe, and effective risk management actually looks like in real lessons. You’ll learn how to support your pupil without taking over, how to share responsibility, and what to say (and avoid saying) when risk appears.

You’ll explore the balance between safety and independence, how to avoid stepping in too late or too soon, and how to demonstrate your risk management clearly in an assessment.
