SUMMARY:Scaling - the Key to Communication
DESCRIPTION:Scaling – The Bigger PictureCertificated Zoom Workshop with Fiona Taylor ADI \nFiona will be looking at ‘Scaling’ in a fresh new way. \nScaling can be as basic as 4 out of 5 stars or even a score of 8 out of 10.\n– OR\nIt can be a way for a multitude of information and details to be explored that may not be evident from an initial glance at the number (or indeed a star) rating alone. How often do you read the full Reviews to see ‘why’ a product has 4.5 stars? Does the rest of the information matter to you? Knowing a number does not provide solutions or results\, nor a plan of action. \nThere is so much more to scaling than the number itself. \nEngaging in this workshop will demonstrate practically how scaling on a deeper level is a really powerful tool for you to explore and develop in your unique way as an ADI or PDI.\nYour Drivers will love the results they see\, too! The course also helps with techniques for engaging people who are reluctant to Scale themselves. \nThis course combines Client-Centred\, engaging training techniques to give you solutions to these issues and more. \nIf you want to feel that your efforts are matched by your Drivers at the end of the day\, plus see the results that you want\, then this course is for you. \nReview\n“I took the scaling course with Fiona Taylor online.\nReally interesting and it works. I’ve been doing this job for 30 years and there is always more to learn and improve.\nUsed it with 3 pupils since and all improved\, enjoyed and better still gave more interaction during lesson.\nThanks Fiona!”\n– Sue Curry \nReview \n“Fiona’s scaling course was an absolute pleasure to be a part of\, until now I never realised how scaling could be used as such a powerful analytical tool\, but in a very positive success based way. Thank you Fiona can’t wait to try it out on my students!”\n– Iwan Williams

SUMMARY:How to deliver a practical mock test to improve your training and driving test results!
DESCRIPTION:How are you assessing your students before they go for their driving test? \n  \nOver the last few years\, it has become essential that ADIs know that their students are ready to sit the test. During your training to become an ADI\, there would have been a great emphasis on assessing what had been learned during the lesson (Formative assessment). For most\, there will have been very little information about conducting a Mock Test (Summative assessment)  \n  \nThe driving test differs from standard driving lessons because the candidate drives independently\, without the instructor’s intervention. The differences will be discussed during the session\, highlighting the benefits of re-creating what it would be like during the driving test. \nThere will be video examples and a discussion about fault assessment. \n  \nFive takeouts delegates will get from this session:  \n  \n\nWhy are mock tests necessary?\nWhat must happen?\nUnderstanding the marking system.\nWhen should we start mock tests?\nReason for the journey\n\n  \nSession type: Zoom \nDuration: 2 hours \nYou’ll receive a workbook\, course notes & a CPD certificate \nFor further details please contact Andrew Love at andrew@lidiaondemand.co.uk

SUMMARY:The REAL Reasons People Fail Driving Tests
DESCRIPTION:This is a certificated Zoom Workshop delivered by Terry Lefteri ADI\nI believe in thinking differently. \nI believe that there may be another way to work in our industry\, and I believe in challenging what the powers that be are telling us. \nI’m ready to challenge what we have been told are the 10 reasons people fail their driving tests. I want to share with you what I believe are the REAL reasons people fail their driving tests\, including the ADI Part 2 test\, and I can guarantee you won’t find these on any lists that get emailed to you. \nBut I don’t want to just challenge. I want to share the real reasons with you. So you can help your client’s learners (and PDIs) properly prepare for their big day. \nI won’t just share the reasons\, either. I’ll also give you tools & techniques you can take away and share with your customers as well. I’m ready to challenge the ‘top 10 reasons’ \nWho’s ready to join me?

SUMMARY:The Games People Play
DESCRIPTION:The Games People Play with Terry Lefteri. \nDue to popular demand this light-hearted look at some ‘games’ you can play in your lessons to aid learning and understanding is back. \nThere’s nothing like it when learning doesn’t feel like learning. Some clever people in white coats call it Gamification and we will delve into the science & research that shows why game play is such an effective learning tool. \nJoin me and find out how playing ‘Save the Fish’ works wonders for planning & controls or how ‘Red Hiding Mirrors’ can solve mirror issues or how ‘Pedestrian Looky Liky’ can take scanning to another level or even how ‘A Day at the Zoo’ can help calm & relax your customers….plus many more tried and tested games that can help you add that extra magic dust to your driving lessons.

SUMMARY:Mind Mapping - their brain dump
DESCRIPTION:This is a certificated Zoom Workshop delivered by Fiona Taylor.\nIn this workshop\, Fiona will be looking at ‘Mind Mapping’ in a fresh new way. \nMind Mapping (or Brain Mapping\, Spray Diagrams or Spidergrams) are a way to get information ‘out’ before ordering and collating it into a useful format for development. \nOnce you unleash your Driver’s scaling potential\, you can add Mind Mapping techniques to form new ideas\, link ideas and visualise relationships between old and new information. It also maps out the options for the next steps and future steps. It’s totally client-centred\, too! \nThe potential of these techniques is limited solely by your imagination! \nCombining Mind Mapping techniques offers a solution-focused approach to common problems such as these examples: \n“Yes… but I just want to give the test a go!\n“My Dad only had 10 hours\, and the waiting list is so long!”\n“Shall I check my mirrors now? Shall I signal now?\n“Shall I change gear now?”\n“Yes\, I know you’ve told me loads of times\, but I just can’t remember what you told me to do or when to do it?”\nThis course combines Client-Centred\, engaging training techniques to give you solutions to these issues and more. \nIf you want that feeling at the end of the day that your efforts are matched by your Drivers\, plus seeing the results that you want\, then this course is for you. \nReview\nMind Mapping – Their Brain Dump\nI wasn’t too sure what to expect from today’s Mind Mapping – Their Brain Dump zoom course. However\, I can honestly say that I do feel I have learned a lot today and have gained some great new ideas\, not just from Fiona but also from other ADI’s and PDI’s who were on the course.\nI really liked Fiona’s calm and relaxed approach\, and she made me feel at ease with her\, “no question is a stupid question” and “there are no right or wrong answers” ethos. My favourite part was Emily’s Story. Partly because I can recognise this in some of my own pupils. It was great to have an example that was easy to relate to!\nI shall certainly be trying mind mapping in the future! And am also keen to try some of Fiona’s other courses\, especially the scaling course. I believe she is in the process of writing another course\, which is due to go live early next year\, so I can’t wait to see what that is all about too!\nI love Fiona’s ability to be so passionate\, but without coming across as being over-bearing or persuasive. She is always keen for others to ask questions and have their own input to aid their own learning. All round a great course\, that I would thoroughly recommend to any ADI or PDI\, but especially those with SC’s coming up or anybody wanting to take a fresh look at their own teaching methods.\nSarah English

In this workshop\, Fiona will be looking at ‘Scaling’ in a fresh new way. \nReview\nI took the scaling course with Fiona Taylor online.\nReally interesting and it works. I’ve been doing this job for 30 years and there is always more to learn and improve.\nUsed it with 3 pupils since and all improved\, enjoyed and better still gave more interaction during lesson.\nThanks Fiona!\nSue Curry \nReview \nFiona’s scaling course was an absolute pleasure to be a part of\, until now I never realised how scaling could be used as such a powerful analytical tool\, but in a very positive success based way. Thank you Fiona can’t wait to try it out on my students!\nIwan Williams

\nCombining Mind Mapping  techniques offers a solution-focused approach to common problems such as these examples: \n\n“Yes… but I just want to give the test a go!\n“My Dad only had 10 hours\, and the waiting list is so long!”\n“Shall I check my mirrors now? Shall I signal now?\n“Shall I change gear now?”\n“Yes\, I know you’ve told me loads of times\, but I just can’t remember what you told me to do or when to do it?”\n\nThis course combines Client-Centred\, engaging training techniques to give you solutions to these issues and more.

SUMMARY:Making Risk Management Easy
DESCRIPTION:Risk management has an influence on the other competencies for the standards check. \nScoring 1 or less in any of the risk management sections will have a knock-on effect on the other sections. During this session\, I’ll discuss how the minor competencies link together and demonstrate how small changes can upgrade your score to improve your overall mark. \nI’ll help you develop an understanding of the skills required to raise your final grade from a B to an A.\nExplain how the feel of the sessions is essential in assessing the overall performance and how creating a safe teaching environment directly influences the final score. \nDeveloping the instructor’s observation skills\, which could also include how the event feels\, looks\, or is calm\, will often help create a safe teaching environment. \nFive takeouts delegates will get from this session: \n⦁ Understanding individual Risk Management competencies\n⦁ How the risk management competencies link to others\n⦁ What the examiner is looking for\n⦁ Giving a great customer experience to the driver & passenger\n⦁ How the assessment may affect you & your driver.\n⦁ How & when to prepare for your assessment \n

SUMMARY:Scaling - The Bigger Picture
DESCRIPTION:This is a certificated Zoom Workshop delivered by Fiona Taylor. In this workshop\, Fiona will be looking at ‘Scaling’ in a fresh new way. \nReview\nI took the scaling course with Fiona Taylor online.\nReally interesting and it works. I’ve been doing this job for 30 years and there is always more to learn and improve.\nUsed it with 3 pupils since and all improved\, enjoyed and better still gave more interaction during lesson.\nThanks Fiona! 😊\nSue Curry \nReview \nFiona’s scaling course was an absolute pleasure to be a part of\, until now I never realised how scaling could be used as such a powerful analytical tool\, but in a very positive success based way. Thank you Fiona can’t wait to try it out on my students!\n Iwan Williams
