SUMMARY:Scaling- The Bigger picture
DESCRIPTION:This is a certificated Zoom Workshop delivered by Fiona Taylor. In this workshop\, Fiona will be looking at ‘Scaling’ in a fresh new way. \nScaling can be as basic as 4 out of 5 stars or even a score of 8 out of 10.\n– OR\nIt can be a way for a multitude of information and details to be explored that may not be evident from an initial glance at the number (or indeed a star) rating alone. How often do you read the full Reviews to see ‘why’ a product has 4.5 stars? Does the rest of the information matter to you? Knowing a number does not provide solutions or results\, nor a plan of action. \nThere is so much more to scaling than the number itself. \nEngaging in this workshop will demonstrate practically how scaling on a deeper level is a really powerful tool for you to explore and develop in your unique way as an ADI or PDI.\nYour Drivers will love the results they see\, too! The course also helps with techniques for engaging people who are reluctant to Scale themselves. \nThis course combines Client-Centred\, engaging training techniques to give you solutions to these issues and more. \nIf you want to feel that your efforts are matched by your Drivers at the end of the day\, plus see the results that you want\, then this course is for you. \nReview\nI took the scaling course with Fiona Taylor online.\nReally interesting and it works. I’ve been doing this job for 30 years and there is always more to learn and improve.\nUsed it with 3 pupils since and all improved\, enjoyed and better still gave more interaction during lesson.\nThanks Fiona!\nSue Curry \nReview \nFiona’s scaling course was an absolute pleasure to be a part of\, until now I never realised how scaling could be used as such a powerful analytical tool\, but in a very positive success based way. Thank you Fiona can’t wait to try it out on my students!\nIwan Williams

SUMMARY:Mind Mapping - Their Brain Dump
DESCRIPTION:This is a certificated Zoom Workshop delivered by Fiona Taylor.\nIn this workshop\, Fiona will be looking at ‘Mind Mapping’ in a fresh new way. \nMind Mapping (or Brain Mapping\, Spray Diagrams or Spidergrams) are a way to get information ‘out’ before ordering and collating it into a useful format for development. \nOnce you unleash your Driver’s scaling potential\, you can add Mind Mapping techniques to form new ideas\, link ideas and visualise relationships between old and new information. It also maps out the options for the next steps and future steps. It’s totally client-centred\, too! \nThe potential of these techniques is limited solely by your imagination! \nCombining Mind Mapping techniques offers a solution-focused approach to common problems such as these examples: \n“Yes… but I just want to give the test a go!\n“My Dad only had 10 hours\, and the waiting list is so long!”\n“Shall I check my mirrors now? Shall I signal now?\n“Shall I change gear now?”\n“Yes\, I know you’ve told me loads of times\, but I just can’t remember what you told me to do or when to do it?”\nThis course combines Client-Centred\, engaging training techniques to give you solutions to these issues and more. \nIf you want that feeling at the end of the day that your efforts are matched by your Drivers\, plus seeing the results that you want\, then this course is for you. \nReview\nMind Mapping – Their Brain Dump\nI wasn’t too sure what to expect from today’s Mind Mapping – Their Brain Dump zoom course. However\, I can honestly say that I do feel I have learned a lot today and have gained some great new ideas\, not just from Fiona but also from other ADI’s and PDI’s who were on the course.\nI really liked Fiona’s calm and relaxed approach\, and she made me feel at ease with her\, “no question is a stupid question” and “there are no right or wrong answers” ethos. My favourite part was Emily’s Story. Partly because I can recognise this in some of my own pupils. It was great to have an example that was easy to relate to!\nI shall certainly be trying mind mapping in the future! And am also keen to try some of Fiona’s other courses\, especially the scaling course. I believe she is in the process of writing another course\, which is due to go live early next year\, so I can’t wait to see what that is all about too!\nI love Fiona’s ability to be so passionate\, but without coming across as being over-bearing or persuasive. She is always keen for others to ask questions and have their own input to aid their own learning. All round a great course\, that I would thoroughly recommend to any ADI or PDI\, but especially those with SC’s coming up or anybody wanting to take a fresh look at their own teaching methods.\nSarah English

SUMMARY:Risk Management Made Easy and How it Affects your Grade
DESCRIPTION:Risk management has an influence on the other competencies for the standards check. \nScoring seven or less in the risk management section will have a knock-on effect on the other sections. During this session\, I’ll discuss how the minor competencies link together and demonstrate how small changes can upgrade your score to improve your overall mark.\nI’ll help you develop an understanding of the skills required to raise your final grade from a B to an A. \nExplain how the feel of the sessions is essential in assessing the overall performance and how creating a safe teaching environment directly influences the final score.\nDeveloping the instructor’s observation skills\, including how it feels\, looks\, or how calm the event is\, will often help create a safe teaching environment. \nFive takeout’s delegates will get from this session: \n1. How the risk management competencies link to others\n2. What the examiner is looking for\n3. Giving a great customer experience to the driver & passenger\n4. The reason for the journey\n5. How & when to prepare for your assessment

SUMMARY:How to deliver a practical mock test to improve your training and driving test results!
DESCRIPTION:How are you assessing your students before they go for their driving test? \nOver the last few years\, it has become essential that ADIs know that their students are ready to sit the test. During your training to become an ADI\, there would have been a great emphasis on assessing what had been learned during the lesson (Formative assessment). For most\, there will have been very little information about conducting a Mock Test (Summative assessment) \nThe driving test differs from standard driving lessons because the candidate drives independently\, without the instructor’s intervention. The differences will be discussed during the session\, highlighting the benefits of re-creating what it would be like during the driving test.\nThere will be video examples and a discussion about fault assessment. \nFive takeouts delegates will get from this session: \n• Why are mock tests necessary?\n• What must happen?\n• Understanding the marking system.\n• When should we start mock tests?\n• Reason for the journey \nYou’ll receive a workbook\, course notes & a CPD certificate \nThe session will be open at 17:50\nPlease remember people will be able to see you\, so think about what distractions there are in the room\, have some note paper available & be in a comfortable position. \nFor further details please contact Andrew Love at andrew@lidiaondemand.co.uk

SUMMARY:Developing Rock Star Rapport and Fabulous Feedback
DESCRIPTION:Rapport is an essential (when I say essential I mean ESSENTIAL) ingredient in the learning process between teacher and student. It’s what helps make a great learning experience for everyone involved. The rapport that is normally expertly built by the ADI/PDI is based on ‘like’. You want them to like you. Of course you do. This workshop is not only about how to build that ‘like’ rapport\, but to take it further to develop the invaluable ‘trust’ rapport. \nYou’ll discover tips and techniques to build that special trust rapport that is so vital to deeper learning & understanding for the learner. If you struggle with getting answers from your customers\, or you get shrug of the shoulders or the classic ‘you tell me you’re the instructor’ then it might be because your rapport is based on ‘like’ not ‘trust’….and there is a massive difference\, especially if you’re trying to coach effectively.\nThe second part of this workshop is all about developing your feedback skills. \nI’ll give you a simple\, yet really effective\, 5 step process to help build your students awareness & responsibility about how they did and progress they want to make. And the best part?….it makes your life so easy because they do all the thinking and planning\, wahoo! It’s a brilliant technique and I want to share it with you. \nWe’ll also take a look at an awesomely bad feedback technique that\, if you’re using\, you need to throw out your car window never to be seen or used again. \nJoin me and let’s Power Up your driving lessons.

SUMMARY:How to deliver an effective mock test to improve your training and driving test results!
DESCRIPTION:How are you assessing your students before they go for their driving test? \nOver the last few years\, it has become very important that ADIs know that their students are ready to sit the test. The differences will be discussed during the session\, highlighting the benefits of re-creating what it would be like during the driving test. \nThere will be video examples and a discussion about fault assessment. \nFive takeouts delegates will get from this session:  \n\nWhy are mock tests necessary?\nWhat must happen?\nUnderstanding the marking system.\nWhen should we start mock tests?\nReason for the journey\n\nSession type: Zoom  \nDuration: 2 hours \nYou’ll receive a workbook\, course notes & a CPD certificate \nFor further details please contact Andrew Love at andrew@lidiaondemand.co.uk
