SUMMARY:How delivering mock tests can influence your trigger points!
DESCRIPTION:How are you assessing your students before they go for test? \nOver the last few years\, it has become very important for ADIs to know that their students are ready to sit the test. During your training to become an ADI there would have been a great emphasis on assessing what had been learnt during the lesson (Formative assessment). For most there will have been very little information about conducting a Mock Test (Summative assessment) \nThe driving test is different from normal driving lessons because the candidate is driving on their own\, without any interventions from the passenger. During the session the differences will be discussed\, highlighting the benefits of re-creating what it would be like during the driving test. \n Five takes outs delegates will get from this session:  \n\nWhat must happen.\nUnderstanding the marking system\nFault assessment\nReason for the journey\nWhat are you going to do next?\n\n  \nReviews: \n Christine Hodgkinson  Jan 16\, 2024\nVery useful course\, giving more insight into Mock tests and actual tests and what the examiners are looking for.\n\nNeil Hughes  Jan 15\, 2024\nA great zoom \, learnt a bit more about doing mock tests \, looking forward to the others\n\n\n\n Nicola Pritchard   Jan 15\, 2024\nI really recommend this cpd workshop to anyone that isn’t sure how mock tests are actually marked. As I now think I may of been marking pupils a bit harshly!!\nI found this workshop really interesting thank you Andrew!!\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Smooth Scaling
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will be delivered via Zoom by Mick Knowles. \nEffective Scaling – Scaling the Skill Element of the Learning Process  \nThursday 4 April 24 1900 – 2030 \nScaling is a very powerful\, effective tool that you can have in your toolbox if it is used correctly. Far too often\, we see scaling used ineffectively. \nScaling is not just getting your learner to pick a number before they start the session and then another number at the end of the session\, neither is it a method of determining the level of support required. It is far more than these examples and many others we see being used. \nThis workshop will help you understand how to use scaling so that you get the most out of it\, we achieve this by using the SMOOTH Scaling model. \nSMOOTH scaling has been developed by Knowledgeablee Instructor Training and is a comprehensive scaling model that you can use on every single session time and time again. \nAll participants will also receive a free copy of our SMOOTH Scaling eBook.

SUMMARY:Scaling - The Bigger Picture - Fiona Taylor - April 2nd 6pm-8pm
DESCRIPTION:This is a certificated Zoom Workshop delivered by Fiona Taylor.\nIn this workshop Fiona will be looking at ‘Scaling’ a fresh new way.\n \nScaling can be as basic as 4 out of 5 stars or even a score of 8 out of 10.\n– OR\nIt can be a way for a multitude of information and details to be explored that may not be evident from an initial glance at the number (or indeed a star) rating alone.\nHow many times do you read the full Reviews to see ‘why’ a product has 4.5 stars. Does the rest of the information matter to you?\nKnowing a number does not provide solutions or results\, nor a plan of action.\nThere is so much more to scaling than the number itself. \n \nEngaging in this workshop will demonstrate practically how scaling on a deeper level is a really powerful tool for you to explore and develop in your own unique way as an ADI or PDI.\nYour Drivers will love the results they see too!\nThe course also helps with techniques to engage people who are reluctant to Scale themselves at all. \nClient Centred\, engaging training techniques are combined in this course to give you solutions to these issues and so much more. \nIf you want that feeling at the end of the day that your efforts are matched by your Drivers\, plus seeing the results that you want; then this course is for you. \n  \nReview\nI took the scaling course with Fiona Taylor online.\nReally interesting and it works. I’ve been doing this job for 30 years and there is always more to learn and improve.\nUsed it with 3 pupils since and all improved\, enjoyed and better still gave more interaction during lesson.\nThanks Fiona! 😊\nSue Curry \nReview \nFiona’s scaling course was an absolute pleasure to be a part of\, until now I never realised how scaling could be used as such a powerful analytical tool\, but in a very positive success based way. Thank you Fiona can’t wait to try it out on my students!\n Iwan Williams \n\n

SUMMARY:Mind Mapping - The Bigger Picture - Fiona Taylor - April 2nd 9.30-11.30
DESCRIPTION:This is a certificated Zoom Workshop delivered by Fiona Taylor.\nIn this workshop Fiona will be looking at ‘Mind Mapping’ in a fresh new way.\n \n \nMind Mapping (or Brain Mapping\, Spray Diagrams or Spidergrams) are a way to get information ‘out’ before ordering and collating it into a useful format for development. \nOnce you unleash your Driver’s scaling potential you can add Mind Mapping techniques to form new ideas\, link ideas and visualise relationships between old and new information. It also maps out the options for the next steps and future steps. Totally Client Centred too! \nThe potential of these techniques is limited solely by your imagination! \nCombining Mind Mapping  techniques offers a solution focused approach to common problems such as these examples: \n\n“Yes… but I just want to give the test a go!\nMy Dad only had 10 hours\, and the waiting list is so long!”\n“Shall I check my mirrors now? Shall I signal now?\nShall I change gear now?”\n“Yes\, I know you’ve told me loads of times\, but I just can’t remember what you told me to do or when to do it?”\n\nClient Centred\, engaging training techniques are combined in this course to give you solutions to these issues and so much more. \nIf you want that feeling at the end of the day that your efforts are matched by your Drivers\, plus seeing the results that you want; then this course is for you. \nReview\nMind Mapping – The Bigger Picture\nI wasn’t too sure what to expect from today’s Mind Mapping – The Bigger Picture zoom course. However\, I can honestly say that I do feel I have learned a lot today and have gained some great new ideas\, not just from Fiona but also from other ADI’s and PDI’s who were on the course.\nI really liked Fiona’s calm and relaxed approach\, and she made me feel at ease with her\, “no question is a stupid question” and “there are no right or wrong answers” ethos. My favourite part was Emily’s Story. Partly because I can recognise this in some of my own pupils. It was great to have an example that was easy to relate to!\nI shall certainly be trying mind mapping in the future! And am also keen to try some of Fiona’s other courses\, especially the scaling course. I believe she is in the process of writing another course\, which is due to go live early next year\, so I can’t wait to see what that is all about too!\nI love Fiona’s ability to be so passionate\, but without coming across as being over-bearing or persuasive. She is always keen for others to ask questions and have their own input to aid their own learning. All round a great course\, that I would thoroughly recommend to any ADI or PDI\, but especially those with SC’s coming up or anybody wanting to take a fresh look at their own teaching methods.\nSarah English

SUMMARY:Scaling - The Bigger Picture - Fiona Taylor - March 20th 6pm-8pm
😊\nSue Curry \n

SUMMARY:Mind Mapping - The Bigger Picture - Fiona Taylor - March 20th 9.30-11.30

SUMMARY:Scaling - The Bigger Picture - Fiona Taylor
😊\nSue Curry \n

SUMMARY:Mind Mapping - The Bigger Picture - Fiona Taylor
