The 7 secrets of Making Feedback Skills Easy – May 23rd 18:00 – 20:00
Often, when observing ADIs & PDIs, the feedback given to the driver is instructor led, which often miss what the reason for the choice that the driver has made or about to make.
Discovering the reason for that driving choice, is essential to allow the driver to develop their range of considered choices when driving independently.
Understanding how to deliver & receive feedback is an essential teaching skill. When delivering feedback can appear complicated, during this session I’ll demonstrate how to make the skills needed to receive & give information easy.
Recognising the benefits of receiving information before giving feedback is vital for the driver to effectively self-develop.
The 7 take outs from the session are:
1. Benefits of well-structured feedback 2. When to use student led feedback 3. When to use Instructorled feedback 4. How to receive Receiving feedback 5. Understanding when to use the feedback loop 6. Types of scaling 7. Linking feedback to the Gibbs cycle.
